Job Summary

Subject matter exposure of Rates products in terms of product characteristics, risk, market data and P&L:

Work with internal teams to develop and deliver solutions to improve client experience and generate additional revenue

Provide day-to-day support to both Trading and Sales activities

Perform relationship management functions including day-to-day support.

Work with regional and global teams to facilitate a “follow the sun” support model

Work with the COO business and technology/project teams on new product offerings

Support, manage and execute regional/global initiatives

General communication with Counter parties, IT Support, Credit, Operations, Front Office, Legal and Product Controllers

Adherence to key processes and control requirements

Provide Business Continuity Planning and support

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

New business enablement and solutions, partner to deliver strategic Rates initiatives.

Constantly seek opportunities to improve global consistency, work closely across functions and other regions to close gaps and standardise processes.

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to solve immediate day to day issues with transactions as well as understand their longer terms needs to shape business decisions in Middle Office

Build strong relationship with internal teams to facilitate efficient communications and speedy resolutions of issues:

Business

Understand the Rates products lifecycle from front to back and be the subject matter expert and key team member for the core systems processing.

New business enablement and solutions, partner to deliver strategic FM initiatives.

Engage with industry bodies and vendors to identify opportunities to enhances processes and systems and drive efficiency

Processes

Own query remediation, trade life-cycling and other day-to-day processing, ensuring timely escalation, in order to minimise risk.

Drive continuous improvement and innovate:

Partner with Technology to deliver transformation

Work with COO to identify booking model improvements and drive efficiency

Be aware of, and strive to reduce, vendor costs

Risk Management

Operations representation for external/internal and regulator scheduled audits:

Ensure Audit points are addressed within timelines

Achieve regulatory compliance and future proof the Middle Office model through a strong understanding of current rules and anticipation of upcoming regulations

Governance

Adherence to Ops Risk Framework standards of implementation and process management:

Continuous review of procedures and booking model

Operations representation for external/internal and regulator scheduled audits:

Ensure Audit points are addressed within timelines

Achieve regulatory compliance and future proof the Middle Office model through a strong understanding of current rules and anticipation of upcoming regulations

Face of Operations to Sales and Trading Desks locally – point of contact:

Insulate FM from post execution processing / queries, represent Operations functions

Build team profile with the Front Office

Stakeholder engagement, 2-way flow of information – “Trusted Advisor”

Our Ideal Candidate

5+ years’ experience into Rate products in terms of product characteristics, risk, market data and P&L

Experience with new business enablement and solutions, partner to deliver strategic initiatives.

Understand the Rate products lifecycle from front to back and be the subject matter expert and go-to person for the core systems processing.

Engage with industry bodies and vendors to identify opportunities to enhances processes and systems and drive efficiency

Stakeholder management experience

Lead the remediation of trade queries and ensure accurate trade lifecycle management, escalating issues promptly to minimise operational risk.

Champion continuous process improvements, working closely with Technology teams to drive transformation initiatives that optimize operational workflows.

Collaborate with COO partners to refine booking models and identify opportunities to streamline operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce vendor costs.

Serve as the operational representative during both external and internal audits, and regulatory examinations.

Provide day-to-day support to both Trading and Sales activities
