Train Lodge Amsterdam is hiring a Receptionist / Front Desk Employee to join our international team. In this guest-facing role, you’ll work in a unique hostel environment, handling check-ins, customer service, and bar duties - perfect if you enjoy variety and meeting people from all over the world.

About Train Lodge Amsterdam

We are a one-of-a-kind hostel where guests stay in authentic train carriages from the former Zürich–Rome night train. Located next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, we offer easy access to the city and a truly memorable guest experience.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

Guest check-in and check-out (front desk)

Deliver excellent customer service and guest support

Bar service (drinks and simple food)

Provide tourist information about Amsterdam

Handle payments and cash management

Communicate with booking platforms (OTA partners)

Perform light cleaning and routine checks

Ensure guest safety, comfort, and smooth daily operations

Working hours (Flexible schedule)

Morning shift: 07:00 – 15:00

Evening shift: 15:00 – 23:00

What we’re looking for

HBO level of thinking and working

Good command of English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)

Experience in hospitality / horeca / hotel / hostel is preferred

Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset

Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently

Proactive and comfortable with multitasking

Living in Amsterdam
