Description

Summary:

The People and Culture Coordinator plays a key role in attracting, engaging and retaining a capable workforce while fostering a positive and values-driven workplace culture. Based in Orange, New South Wales, this permanent full-time position will lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, employee onboarding, workforce compliance requirements and induction programs across the Central West region. Working closely with managers and employees, the role provides broad generalist human resources support across the employee lifecycle, contributing to employee engagement, workforce capability, and organisational success. The successful candidate will support the delivery of people and culture initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.

Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.

Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and training programmes.

Provide support in performance management processes, including feedback and appraisal systems.

Coordinate employee benefits and payroll processes in collaboration with the finance team.

Assist in the development of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Support the organisation of staff events and activities to promote a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications and/or Certificate IV in Human Resources Management or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

At least 2 years of experience supporting people and culture work, with demonstrated experience in recruitment, onboarding, WHS and RTW and payroll.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
