About the role

Senior UX Designer - Engagement Platforms, Rewards & Partner Ecosystems

The role

Senior UX Designers in Engagement Platforms, Rewards & Partner Ecosystems take end-to-end

ownership of complex experiences across the supplier-facing and platform side of the domain - supplier

and partner journeys, campaign orchestration and configuration tooling, and the engagement mechanics

that shape what customers eventually experience. You shape direction as well as deliver it, keeping the UX

in your area rigorous, evidence-driven and consistently high quality while connecting it to customer and

business outcomes.

Based in India within Tesco Technology, you will report to the Lead Designer for the domain and partner

with Product Managers, Engineers, UI Designers, Researchers, and the commercial and CRM teams who

use the platforms. Because what is configured here sets the shape of the campaigns customers see, you

will also collaborate with customer-facing Loyalty design teams under separate Design Managers so the

platform side and the customer side stay coherent.

You will be responsible for

Owning end-to-end UX for complex flows across partner experiences, orchestration platforms and

engagement-mechanic configuration - designing for core journeys, edge cases, error and empty

states, accessibility, and the operational realities of the people who run engagement at scale.

Leading discovery with suppliers, commercial and operational users: journey mapping, concept

development, prototyping and testing. Using insight to shape direction, not just validate it.

Designing configuration and mechanic-modelling experiences with an eye to their downstream

customer effect - what a given setup is capable of driving, and where in the journey it lands.

Using qualitative and quantitative data, including experimentation, to challenge assumptions, improve

live tooling, and contribute to team OKRs.

Partnering with Product, Commercial and Engineering to keep design decisions practical and aligned

with strategy, communicating rationale clearly.

Collaborating with the Design System team, and with customer-facing Loyalty design, to keep

experiences consistent across the platform and customer boundary.

Sharing work early, giving constructive critique, and mentoring UX Designers in the team.

What we're looking for

Portfolio showing sharp UX thinking and high-quality work across complex digital products - ideally

including internal platforms, operator tooling or partner-facing products.

Deep UX principles applied confidently to interconnected, multi-journey problems.

Ability to reason about customer behaviour and journey, not only interface - you can see how a

configuration decision shows up in the customer experience.

You will need

High standards for usability, accessibility and interaction quality, including for data-dense operational

tooling.

Comfort with qualitative and quantitative insight and experimentation.

Clear communicator who influences cross-functional partners and works cleanly across ownership

boundaries.

What success looks like

Partner and platform experiences that feel coherent and well-considered, delivered consistently under

real constraint.

Configuration and mechanic design that gives operators the coherent option by default - so

campaigns arrive in the customer experience already fitting.

Cross-functional partners, including customer-facing design, who actively seek your perspective.

UX Designers around you improving through your feedback and ways of working.

Why this role matters

This is the layer where Tesco's engagement either becomes possible at scale or quietly does not. The

rigour of the designers closest to these platforms determines what suppliers, commercial teams and -

ultimately - millions of customers experience. Senior UX Designers set the standard for what good looks

like here and raise the quality of the team around them.
