Job Description:

Picnic Cafe Limited is seeking to recruit a Retail Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its busy Daybreak convenience store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining excellent customer service standards, supervising staff, managing inventory and supplier relationships, and supporting the overall performance and profitability of the business.

Duties will include:

Overseeing the daily operations of the retail store and ensuring smooth and efficient workflow Supervising retail staff, preparing duty rosters, and monitoring employee performance Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are consistently maintained Managing stock control, inventory levels, ordering, deliveries, and supplier coordination Supporting the planning and implementation of promotional campaigns, merchandising, and sales initiatives Handling customer complaints and resolving operational issues promptly and professionally Monitoring store performance, operational costs, and supporting business profitability targets Managing POS systems, retail reporting, and acting as the primary point of contact for operational and technical issues Ensuring the store is well-presented, clean, fully stocked, and compliant with merchandising standards Assisting with recruitment, staff training, and performance development to maintain a motivated and productive team

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Management, Retail Management, or a related discipline (minimum Level 7) Minimum 1 year of experience in retail operations management, retail management, convenience store management, or a similar supervisory role Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail Experience using POS systems, inventory management software, and sales reporting tools is an advantage Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, stock management, and food safety practices Ability to lead and motivate a team while ensuring operational excellence
