Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SDET / Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI and API automation testing using Python and Playwright. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable automation frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and validating backend integrations. Experience in Retail domain applications is highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.

Create automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Validate backend integrations, APIs, and data flow across distributed systems.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues.

Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and testing best practices.

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Python automation development.

Hands-on expertise with Playwright.

UI and API Automation Testing.

REST API testing and validation.

CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar).

Backend integrations testing.

Test framework design and maintenance.

Git version control.

Agile/Scrum development environment.

Retail domain experience is preferred.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pune, Maharashtra (Pune, Pune District)
