Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Cloud Engineering (Level L) for the Digital Infrastructure Segment (DIS) of a Proprietary Program in Hazelwood, MO.

We are seeking a passionate and talented senior leader to partner with the DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Product Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology teams in supporting the deployment of software applications and tools within a Cloud environment.

This leader will manage a team of Cloud engineers responsible for hosting applications, as well as designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. The team also includes a Systems Engineering Integration group that collaborates across various teams within DIS.

Additionally, this senior leader will serve as a sub-IPT lead for Cloud Infrastructure within the Digital Infrastructure Segment IPT.

Position Responsibilities

Lead a matrix plus assigned organization executing the mission of building secure cloud environment, the deployment and integration of complex COTS applications, development of Infrastructure as Code, vendor and license management, environment standardization and performance tuning.

Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities

Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies

Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Manage, develop and motivate employees

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, Chemistry or related technical discipline

10+ years’ experience leading, motivating and developing others

5+ years leading engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience working in a DevOps environment

Prior Cloud experience

Experience leading cross functional teams

Experience with one or more agile tools (i.e. Jira, VersionOne, Azure DevOps, Digital.ai, and/or other leading agile tools)
