About the role
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Follows a QC procedure to evaluate and report on the various elements of a given project such as:
General recording quality
Missing dubbed lines
Episode & Main Title Treatments
Audio issues (clicks, distortions…)
Synch issues
Song treatments, tuning, and editing.
Mix quality (sounnd FX design, perspectives, audio levels, clarity)
M&E quality check reports
Dialogue and character name continuity.
Dialogue delivery (same as domestic version)
Deliverable Labeling
Dial Norm, Loudness, True Peak levels, audio delivery formats.
Characters Voice Match
Completes a QC report form per Iyuno México standards, identifying areas of the media that need to be reviewed again.
Provides detailed QC reports to the Production and Post-Production departments, identifying issues that require correction by the recording engineer, editor, or mixing engineer.
Maintains regular communication with the Production and Post-Production teams, as well as other departments, to keep them informed of project status and progress.
Ensures adherence to project timelines and adjusts schedules as necessary to meet critical production deadlines.
Maintains compliance with Company security requirements, policies, and procedures at all times.
Maintains a thorough understanding of and stays current with all Iyuno workflows, workflow change management updates, and related training materials.
Provides general administrative support as needed to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned, which may include recording, editing, and mixing responsibilities as required.
Person Specification
Must be able to demonstrate:
Excellent working knowledge of ADR recording, editing, quality control (QC), and mixing.
Proficiency with audio mixing equipment, including audio consoles, controllers, peripheral devices, and advanced knowledge of Pro Tools.
Strong technical understanding of digital audio concepts, including sample rates, bit depth, audio speed, digital audio synchronization, timecode, video synchronization, and video codecs.
Excellent hearing and the ability to make accurate and consistent judgment decisions.
Strong organizational skills for managing large volumes of data and media on local systems and network environments.
A process-driven approach with exceptional attention to detail.
Solid understanding of post-production and dubbing workflows and requirements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines and changing priorities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to learn new processes and technologies.
Willingness to work flexible hours when business needs require it.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sound engineering, including recording, editing, and/or mixing.
Degree in Audio Post-Production, Sound Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Avid Pro Tools.
Good working knowledge of audio production workflows, formats, and methodologies.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Understanding of dubbing, localization, and post-production processes is preferred.
