Job Responsibilities

Contribute to the growth of SMBC’s Transaction Banking business through the promotion of cash management solutions to corporate clients in APAC region.

Build and maintain relationship with Japanese corporate clients and anticipate their requirements through consultative selling to increase SMBC’s wallet share.

Interact with HQ in Japan and branches (RM and in-country sales), analyze TB opportunities, and strategize sales activities in collaboration.

Internally coordinate with Product Development/Management for sharing client requirements/feedback and solutioning.

Submit reports (monthly reports, business trip reports, call reports, etc.)

Understand market trends / customer requirements and contribute to the bank’s product development / improvements.

Job Requirements

Able to collaborate effectively with large corporate customers, and internal IT/Operational departments

Familiarity with market trends and regulations in Asia regions

At least 5 years’ of working experience in relevant space

Ability to interact with customer across all levels

Strong customer centric mindset

Analytical and creative in problem solving

Business-level English proficiency is required. Japanese language skills are preferred but not mandatory.

Ability to spearhead projects/initiatives while working with various internal stakeholders.

Strong communication skills, proactive, team player, good inter-personal skills, etc.
