Involves providing courteous and efficient delivery, sorting, and pick-up of heavy weight packages. Ensuring shipment of packages by completing all necessary paperwork and checking shipments for conformance to FedEx Express features of service

General job description:

Accomplishes accurate and timely pick-up, selection, inspection, and delivery of assigned packages.

Seeks additional business from current customers, passes leads to Station Ops manager or Salesperson.

Informs Salesperson and his direct manager of changes in customer use/competitor’s actions.

Checks packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipment, and compliance with Customs documentations required at destination.

Provides necessary paperwork relating to the pick-up and delivery of packages, such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle conditions, Duties/Taxes invoices with neatness and accuracy.

Ensures proper security of FedEx and customer property such as cash, packages, equipment, and hazardous materials.

• Ensures his/her own personal safety and security at all times by following FedEx Safety policies and procedures.

Operates vehicle safely and efficiently, complying with specific country regulations and corporate policies.

Strives for improved productivity through constructive suggestions for better methods, procedures, etc.

Collects D/T invoices from delivered shipments that must be processed by Customs Authorities (when necessary).

Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx Express material for shipping.

Maintains neat and clean appearance of self and uniform and company assigned vehicle.

Ensures Dangerous Goods are loaded securely, matched with proper paperwork, and paperwork is maintained according to DOT regulations.

Ensures placards on exterior of vehicle properly identify vehicle contents according to safety regulations.

Performs shuttle duties depending on the operation requirements.

Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents, while representing the company in a professional manner.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:

High School Degree/Equivalent.

Basic English skills preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum two and a half (2.5) years of experience maneuvering 3.5 tons or heavier equipment

Six months Fedex Express Courier Experience

Must possess appropriate license (type C) for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations.

Good driving record.

Minimum Required Skills:

Ability to operate forklift. Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kgs)

Ability to maneuver pkgs of any weight above 70 lbs with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person

Neat and clean-cut appearance

Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player

Must be 21 years old or over

Must be able to work variable shifts

Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test.
