About the role:

We are looking for a Midlevel Full Stack Software Developer (Backend Focus) to help build and scale our Equipment Health Monitoring solutions. The team develops solutions that provide real-time visibility into industrial equipment health and performance.

The product combines telemetry data, analytics, alerts, and operational dashboards to help customers monitor critical assets, identify emerging issues, and make faster, more informed decisions.

While the role involves contributing across the application stack, the primary need is for a developer with strong backend engineering skills who can design scalable services, improve system performance, diagnose production issues, and ensure the reliability of real-time data processing systems.

This role requires a high level of ownership. Successful candidates are able to independently drive features from design through deployment and monitoring, collaborating effectively with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and other developers while maintaining a strong focus on customer impact and system health.

Job Responsibilities

Fullstack Development & Architecture

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.

Build solutions that process and manage high-volume real-time data.

Contribute to system architecture decisions with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Identify and address bottlenecks related to application performance and scalability.

Improve platform resilience and operational stability.

Full Product Ownership

Own features throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Participate in requirement refinement and technical solution design.

Implement, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve delivered functionality.

Support production environments and take ownership of issue resolution when problems arise.

Make sound technical decisions while balancing short-term delivery and long-term sustainability.

Quality Engineering

Develop and maintain automated tests as part of the development process.

Ensure adequate coverage through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Contribute to improving testing strategies, quality standards, and development practices.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.

Observability & Reliability

Improve system monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions.

Conduct performance assessments and support load-testing initiatives.

Monitor application behavior in production and proactively identify risks.

Contribute to operational excellence and system health improvements.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with Product, QA, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.

Communicate technical challenges and risks clearly and proactively.

Share knowledge and contribute to team-wide engineering maturity.

Help strengthen development processes, deployment practices, and operational workflows.

Education, Knowledge, Hard Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

3+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong backend development experience in production environments.

Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs and distributed systems.

Strong understanding of software design principles and architecture.

Experience with relational databases and data modeling.

Experience troubleshooting application performance and production issues.

Solid experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Bonus Points

Experience with industrial, IoT, telemetry, or operational data.

Experience with real-time analytics platforms.

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of CI/CD practices.

Familiarity with streaming data architectures.
