Intelie is an operational-AI software company best known for its flagship platform, Intelie LIVE®, which combines real-time analytics, predictive modeling, automation, and visual dashboards to help industrial operations transform system and sensor data into actionable insights. Used globally across sectors such as oil & gas, mining, logistics and food processing, the platform powers the operations of some of the world’s largest companies.

Job Title: Midlevel Designer (Builder Designer)

Location: Rio de Janeiro (RJ) Department: Product Reports to: CPO

About the role:

As a Midlevel UX/UI Designer at Intelie, you are the Product Manager's force‑multiplier inside a prototype‑first cycle, partnering closely with Product, Technology, Customer Success and Sales teams to craft intuitive, reliable, high‑quality product experiences. You’ll contribute from discovery to delivery - framing problems and then building working prototypes: every idea has a prototype, and the prototype is how we maximize customer feedback. With solid interaction and interface design skills, comfort in code, a systemic mindset, and strong communication, you’ll put a working prototype on screen in every forum - Decision Gates, sales demos, Roadmap Alignment and Post‑Launch Reviews - while elevating product quality and consistency and participating in our Design Chapter rituals.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with POs/PMs, commercial teams, and technical stakeholders to understand problems, define requirements, and make trade-offs between scope, time, and impact explicit;

Co-build a working prototype for every idea - vibe‑coded where possible (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, v0, Replit or equivalent), wired to real or mocked data - owning the look, the interaction and the micro‑copy that surfaces the decision;

Ensure high‑quality user experience, visual and interaction design across Intelie products;

Hand the Tech Lead a working prototype plus an interaction spec - states, edge cases, empty / error / AI‑fallback states, no “TBD” - and follow through on quality assurance with developers and Pos/PMs;

Operate the prototype during customer calls and demos, capture interaction friction live, and translate it into the next iteration within 24 to 48 hours, applying qualitative and quantitative methods to validate and evolve the experience;

Contribute to Design Chapter rituals, including a weekly 30‑minute design critique with the PM and one engineer - prototype on screen, no slides;

Drive MVP definition with POs/PMs and Tech, working in short discovery–delivery cycles that validate hypotheses quickly and balance business goals, technical constraints, and user needs;

Bring the working prototype on screen for every Feature candidate at the weekly Decision Gate, and operate it during the discussion;

Support the weekly DRT backlog grooming and the biweekly Roadmap Alignment with Tech: spot prototype reuse, flag ambiguous user stories, and challenge Effort estimates against prototype reality;

Deliver sales‑ready demo and release enablement assets within 24 to 48 hours of a request (live prototype, click‑through, or short walkthrough video);

Maintain a small, opinionated Intelie design system shared across verticals, and audit existing workflows to prototype interaction cuts - defending every screen we keep at the Post‑Launch Review.

Education, Knowledge, Hard Skills & Abilities

Degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Communication, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or related fields (or equivalent proven experience with a strong portfolio and case studies).

Fluent English.

Minimum of 2 years in Product, UX, UI, or Interaction Design roles.

Portfolio including at least two working prototypes (live URL or repo), not only static mockups.

Design Process

Clear understanding of the design process and its key steps.

Familiarity with methods and tools across discovery, definition, design, and validation.

Understanding of software development processes (agile vs. waterfall).

Interface & Interaction Design

Ability to create intuitive, context‑aware interactions.

Knowledge of accessibility and responsive design principles.

Familiarity with heuristics, usability principles, and component‑based design systems.

Ability to think systemically - understanding how parts of a product affect the whole.

Understanding of enterprise and industrial workflows, not only consumer patterns.

Builder Mindset

Has shipped real things - side projects, freelance products, internal tools - and is comfortable in code, not only in design tools.

AI-Native Interaction Design

Designs for LLM‑assisted and agent‑driven workflows: handoffs, confirmations, undo, trust signals and fallback UX when the system is non‑deterministic.

Visual Craft

Strong typography, hierarchy and density - able to make a dense industrial dashboard readable without dumbing it down.

Tools

Intermediate to advanced experience with leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).

Hands‑on experience building working prototypes with vibe‑coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, v0, Replit), including wiring real or mocked data.

Nice to Have Skills

Courses or specializations in UX, Strategic Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Ergonomics, or related areas.

Prior contact with foundational UX/HCI literature;

Ability to prioritize under constraints and uncertainty;

Comfortable facilitating decision-making;

Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments;

Measure and evaluate the impact of delivered solutions using qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring continuous learning and product evolution;

Experience designing industrial or enterprise environments with dense, real‑time data;

Prior experience operating inside a formal roadmap governance process - ticket-based intake, prioritization frameworks such as RICE, and decision gates.
