Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Trading Operations Analyst to join the DV Commodities team in London. This is a middle-office role, working closely with traders and senior operations to support the day-to-day running of the trading desks. You will monitor trading activity, resolve issues in real-time, and help improve the processes and tools that underpin the company’s performance. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities:

Act as primary support for the trading desks, handling ad-hoc queries from traders and stakeholders

Perform daily PnL reconciliation and reporting, investigating and resolving discrepancies

Monitor pricing and risk, identifying and escalating issues where necessary

Serve as the first point of contact for operational and trade-related issues

Investigate breaks across internal systems, brokers, and exchanges, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve them

Contribute to process improvements and controls to reduce manual work and operational risk

Work on data-driven projects to improve reporting, transparency, and operational efficiency

Requirements:

0–2 years of experience in trading, operations, or a data-focused role

Strong attention to detail and ability to debug issues across data, systems, and workflows

Strong Excel skills

Hands-on experience using Python and/or SQL to work with and analyze data

Interest in trading and energy markets

Ability to stay organized and effective in a fast-paced, real-time environment

Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with traders and stakeholders

Experience with or interest in automating workflows
