Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.
Overview:
Join a systematic trading desk that trades a broad range of financial products across global markets using proprietary algorithms and internally developed technology. In this role, you'll combine trading support, market analysis, and technical problem solving, with a focus on monitoring and improving trading strategies, debugging issues, and building automation tools. No prior trading experience required. We're looking for sharp, curious problem solvers who want to learn the business from the ground up.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the day to day operation of systematic and algorithmic trading strategies across multiple exchanges and asset classes
Monitor live trading activity, positions, and system behavior to quickly identify issues and anomalies
Assist in the design, testing, and refinement of trading algorithms and execution logic
Investigate trading and system issues through data analysis and debugging
Build and improve automation tools, scripts, and workflows that drive desk efficiency and reliability
Partner closely with traders and developers to enhance models, tools, and internal processes
Help monitor risk, positions, and trading activity in real time
Execute operational and support tasks with accuracy and accountability
Requirements:
0 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., math, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, finance)
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem solving skills
Genuine interest in financial markets and systematic trading
Python strongly preferred; experience with any programming language is highly valued
Meticulous, responsible, and detail oriented
Independent, proactive, and a fast learner
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
