Our Early Career Engineer Development Track is a rigorous, accelerated program designed for high-performing engineering graduates who thrive in fast-paced, high-expectation environments. This elite development experience provides unparalleled exposure to our business, operations, and leadership while preparing participants to solve complex engineering challenges across critical energy infrastructure.
Through hands-on project work, structured learning, challenging assignments, and direct exposure to our operations, you'll build the technical and business capabilities needed to succeed in a demanding industry. You'll be expected to learn quickly, take ownership, and deliver results while living Williams' values of being collaborative, courageous, creative, and competitive.
Program Overview
Our 12-month development track is intentionally designed to accelerate the growth of top engineering talent through immersive onboarding, real-world project experience, and continuous professional development. This highly structured and rigorous program challenges participants to develop both technical depth and business acumen while contributing to projects that directly impact Williams' operations and long-term success.
Your journey begins at our corporate headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where you will participate in an intensive 6-week onboarding experience focused on:
Building advanced professional and technical capabilities
Developing business, commercial, and financial acumen
Strengthening communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Enhancing analytical and technical proficiency, including data analysis and Excel
Gaining firsthand exposure to field operations through immersive site experiences
Developing the resilience and adaptability required to succeed in a dynamic and high-accountability industry
Participants will be expected to engage fully, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, and perform in a learning environment with high standards and expectations.
Following onboarding, you'll be placed on a project assignment aligned with business priorities and your skills, where you'll contribute to meaningful, high-impact work while continuing to your capabilities through real-world application. Most of these assignments will be home-based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Houston, TX, with significant field travel. or at a field location. If relocation is required, Williams will provide relocation assistance to support your move.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Science
Graduate in May 2026, December 2026 or May 2027
This position is not eligible for sponsorship (including OPT/CPT)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Willingness and ability to relocate within the United States as business needs require

Pay:
Compensation is a salaried rate determined by degree type:
Bachelor's degree candidate = $100,000
Master's degree candidate = $110,000
