About the role

TELUS Health is empowering every person to live their healthiest life. Guided by our vision, we are leveraging the power of our leading edge technology and focusing on the uniqueness of each individual to create the future of health. As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

You’ll join TELUS Health’s Asia-Pacific Employer business as a strategic finance leader, driving FP&A support that shapes decision-making across the region. In this role, you’ll partner closely with commercial and operational leaders, translating financial results, forecasts, and trends into clear insights and recommendations that support growth, margin, and financial discipline. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and variance reporting, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities to improve business outcomes. With responsibility for leading FP&A activity and managing one direct report, this is a highly influential role with direct impact on the financial performance and strategic direction of the business.

You’ll also enjoy a flexible hybrid working model, with four days working from home and one collaboration day each week in our Melbourne CBD office, giving you the balance of autonomy, connection, and team collaboration.

What you'll do:

Lead FP&A for TELUS Health’s APAC Employer business, partnering with leadership teams across APAC, Canada, and Korea to provide clear financial insight and support strategic decisions

Manage one direct report and provide direction across budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting activity

Partner with APAC Employer leadership to translate financial results, trends, and forecasts into actionable recommendations that support growth, margin, and financial discipline

Lead the monthly and quarterly financial review process, analysing P&L performance, KPI movements, and key variances to explain business drivers and emerging risks

Develop and deliver annual planning and budgeting processes, challenging assumptions and building robust financial plans aligned to business objectives

Support revenue forecasting and gross margin analysis, including pricing, sales incentives, and direct cost drivers to inform commercial decisions

Analyse indirect cost performance and identify opportunities for cost optimisation while supporting business capability and operational needs

Build business cases and financial models for new initiatives and investment opportunities, including post-implementation review to assess performance against assumptions

Contribute ad hoc analysis and strategic projects in support of evolving business priorities

Work closely with North American finance centres of excellence to share best practices and ensure consistent application of FP&A processes

What you’ll bring:

7–10 years’ experience in FP&A, financial analysis, business partnering, or controllership, including experience supporting senior leaders in a strategic advisory capacity

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Strong FP&A capability across budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, and P&L management

Advanced Excel skills, with experience using pivot tables, lookups, data modelling, Power Pivot, dashboards, charts, and reports

Proficiency with ERP systems, Power BI or similar reporting tools, and large, complex financial datasets

Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations that influence senior stakeholders and support business decisions

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for financial and non-financial audiences

Strong commercial mindset and analytical rigour, with the ability to identify root causes, risks, and opportunities in a complex environment

Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across functions and geographies

Experience working in a regional, matrixed, or multi-country environment would be highly regarded

Korean language fluency is highly desirable, though not required for success in the role
