Campus Undergraduate Summer Internship Program - 2027 Digital Product, Amex Digital Labs - New York, NY

Amex Digital Labs: This team is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at American Express by originating, and scaling products and platforms that matter to our customers’ digital lives. We are a fast-paced global team that leverages emerging technologies to develop digital payment and financial services products, AI-powered customer service solutions, and engaging membership experiences. We value creativity, customer centricity, and experimentation and often collaborate with top technology companies and strategic partners to bring the next generation of products to market.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program

Students must have a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for Technology: Demonstrated interest in fintech, emerging digital technologies and customer focused design.

Customer Centricity: Ability to empathize with customers, understand needs and use customer feedback to inform product decisions.

Growth Mindset: Possesses a Growth Mindset approach, aims to think beyond the obvious, solve problems and deliver solutions. Consistently seeks feedback from a diverse group of colleagues and partners, demonstrating clear actions taken to respond.

Curiosity: Great teammate who is naturally curious about how things work, flexible, and accepts ambiguity.

Bias for Action: Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from data and identify innovative solutions for our customers.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to partner effectively with team-members and cross functional partners. Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical audiences is a plus.

Adaptable: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and ready to tackle new challenges.
