Job Summary

Retail and Private Banking segments within Wealth and Retail Banking business provide a full-suites of products and services including deposits i.e. Current Account, Saving Account and Fixed Deposit.

The purpose of the role is to support the WRB Deposits agenda by driving product management, pricing optimisation, product governance, deposit performance across markets and market enablement. The role provides Group-level oversight to ensure deposit products for Retail and Private Bank segment deliver sustainable growth and are well controlled and aligned with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

This role will report to [Director, Liquidity and Deposit Pricing], and work with key stakeholders across Group and Country teams including Product Managers, One Delivery, Business Risk Management, Finance, Operations, Balance Sheet Management as well as Risk Framework Owners (RFOs) such as Compliance, Operational Technology and Cyber Risk etc.

Key Responsibilities

Deposit product management for Retail and Private Bank segment, including product governance and initiative / project across WRB markets.

Support the delivery of deposit portfolio growth by providing input on product development, portfolio management, and governance process.

Providing support for market enablement and drive consistent product management standards and best practices across WRB Deposits.

Provide Group-level oversight and guidance on deposit product governance, ensuring products remain aligned with internal policies, risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Support product reviews, product programme refreshes, risk assessments, and governance submissions to ensure deposit products are well controlled and aligned with governance standards.

Provide guidance to markets on implementation of global standards, policy changes, control enhancements, and product governance requirements.

Collaborating with Group and Country Data Analytics teams and Finance to provide deposit performance analysis including product performance, deposit growth / NNM and income.

Support senior management updates by preparing concise materials on deposit performance, pricing initiatives, and strategic priorities.

Deposit products i.e. Current Account, Saving Account, Fixed Deposit available for Retail and Private Banking clients

Economics of deposit products which include pricing, margin, portfolio performance and growth levers

Processes

Understanding of deposit end-to-end processes, including end-to-end processes around transaction processing system (T24).

Understanding payments services and its interconnectedness with deposit products

People & Talent

Stakeholder management – Builds strong relationships across Group, Country, Product, Delivery Team and Risk Framework Owners to drive alignment and execution.

Risk Management

Risk awareness – product risk understanding such as interest rate risk and how the various macroeconomic indicators and market situation affect the performance of the business.

Governance

Governance awareness –awareness of product governance, regulatory and control discipline

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

10 years of relevant Deposits Experience

Role Specific Technical Competencies

Familiar with product management within Private Banking business

Familiar customer due diligence processes including FATCA and CRS adherence.
