Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Our Vehicle Examiners play a vital role in ensuring our fleet meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability, keeping our customers moving every day. We’re looking for a detail-focused and knowledgeable Vehicle Examiner to join our engineering team at our Oldham depot. As our fleet continues to evolve, including hybrid and electric vehicles, you’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards and supporting our modern, safety-first operation.

What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out thorough safety inspections and statutory vehicle examinations in line with DVSA standards

Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects, ensuring timely resolution

Ensuring all maintenance and inspection records are completed accurately and meet compliance requirements

Supporting MOT preparation and audit readiness across the depot

Liaising with Technicians and Workshop leadership to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standard

Monitoring fleet compliance and supporting continuous improvement in safety and reliability

Promoting a strong safety culture across the depot, leading by example

What we’re looking for:

A qualified technician with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV, HGV, or automotive engineering

Proven experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance, or compliance roles (PSV/HGV preferred)

Strong knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle safety regulations

High attention to detail with a proactive, safety-first mindset

Confident in record-keeping and compliance documentation

A team player with strong communication skills

A full UK driving licence
