DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Product Manager, CE Instruments, will lead the strategy, commercialization, and lifecycle management of the capillary electrophoresis (CE) instrument portfolio supporting clinical, forensic, and applied sciences markets across the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

This role will be responsible for driving product growth, customer engagement, market expansion, and regional localization initiatives. The role serves as the Asia Pacific product management leader for the CE instrument portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with global cross-functional teams including R&D, commercial, service, operations, regulatory, quality, and marketing to drive portfolio strategy, innovation, commercialization, and financial performance.

The role requires strong business acumen, technical understanding of CE instrumentation workflows, and the ability to engage effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers, distributors, and stakeholders.

What will you do?

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership

Own product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for the CE instrument portfolio, ensuring alignment with division strategy, customer needs, and financial objectives.

Define portfolio priorities and recommend strategic trade-offs across assigned products, workflows, applications, software, assays, and platform capabilities.

Drive long-term portfolio planning, market expansion, product evolution, and end-of-life strategies to maximize customer value and business performance.

Partner closely with the global leadership team to align portfolio priorities with business strategy and growth objectives.

Customer & Workflow Insights

Serve as the voice of the customer by translating unmet customer needs, workflow pain points, market trends, and competitive insights into differentiated product requirements and roadmap priorities.

Engage directly with customers, distributors, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and industry stakeholders across Asia-Pacific and globally to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Leverage customer and workflow insights to shape solutions that improve productivity, user experience, and customer outcomes.

Support regional localization initiatives and market expansion strategies, including China and broader Asia-Pacific growth opportunities.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Global Collaboration

Influence and align stakeholders across R&D, operations, quality, regulatory, service, commercial, marketing, and finance functions to achieve portfolio objectives.

Lead through influence in a global matrix organization, driving strategic alignment and decision-making without direct authority.

Collaborate effectively across global teams, including product management leadership based in California, to ensure alignment on portfolio priorities, investments, and roadmap execution.

Represent Asia-Pacific customer and market perspectives in global portfolio and business planning discussions.

Innovation and Workflow Enablement

Partner with R&D, Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize customer-backed new product innovations, workflow automation opportunities, and adjacent market opportunities.

Influence innovation investments and development priorities through customer, market, and business insights.

Contribute to future platform, workflow, and technology strategies that strengthen portfolio competitiveness and customer value.

Commercial Alignment

Lead product positioning, market segmentation, value proposition development, and pricing recommendations for the portfolio.

Partner with commercial, marketing, and regional teams to ensure launch readiness, customer adoption, and market success.

Support sales enablement through competitive positioning, training, messaging, and customer-facing materials.

Maintain accountability for portfolio revenue performance and achievement of business growth objectives.

Financial Ownership

Own portfolio business performance, including revenue growth, market share, profitability, and lifecycle value creation.

Develop business cases, investment recommendations, and financial analyses to support portfolio strategy and resource allocation decisions.

Partner with finance and business leadership on forecasting, annual operating plans, demand planning, and long-range strategic planning.

Monitor portfolio performance metrics and recommend actions to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
