About the role

The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team facilitates and monitors the implementation of effective operational risk management programs throughout the organization and oversees risk ownership throughout business units, products, and processes. The objective of the Issues & Events team is to define, govern, and continuously enhance the Issues and Events Management Program as a second-line risk management function, partnering closely with first- and third-line stakeholders.

The Executive Insights function supports the delivery of executive reporting, management insights, and governance materials across the Issues & Events organization. The team produces timely, accurate reporting; supports metric governance; analyzes trends and risk data; and provides actionable insights to senior leadership and governance forums.

ORM is looking for a Senior Analyst, Executive Insights, to lead key components of executive reporting, management insights, metric governance, and trend analysis across the Issues & Events organization. In this role, you will own complex reporting deliverables, provide analytical support for senior leadership and governance forums, and help drive enhancements that improve reporting consistency, accuracy, and scalability.

Reporting to the Manager/Director, Issues & Events Program, the ideal candidate will bring strong analytical judgment, reporting expertise, stakeholder management skills, and a control-oriented mindset. This role requires the ability to translate complex issues and events data into clear, actionable insights while supporting governance standards and continuous improvement across reporting processes.

Experience in reporting, analytics, business insights, governance, operational risk, issue management, event management, or a related function.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop clear business insights.

Experience preparing executive-level reporting, presentations, dashboards, or management information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data, assumptions, and key messages clearly.

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting, visualization, database, or business intelligence tools.

Comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools and solutions responsibly to enhance productivity, strengthen analysis, and improve the quality of outcomes, while adhering to organizational policies, data privacy requirements, and ethical AI practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate independently, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Bachelor's/Master’s degree from a reputed Tier 1 institute.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ Years of Experience within Operational Risk Management, Issues Management, Events Management, Governance, or related second-line risk functions.

Familiarity with risk metrics, governance reporting, executive reporting practices, and reporting methodology documentation.

Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, data visualization, reporting automation, or similar tools.

Knowledge of American Express governance processes, risk frameworks, operational risk programs, or reporting standards.

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive process improvements, and maintain strong control discipline across reporting deliverables.
