About the role

Handle corporate tax compliance and advisory. Maintain governance framework for Common Reporting Standard and FATCA Regulations.

Job Responsibilities :

Corporate Income Tax Compliance and Reporting, Financial Sector Incentive (FSI) Compliance and Head Office Reporting

Support the preparation, review, and coordination of the Branch's annual corporate income tax returns and associated filings.

Liaise with external tax advisers on corporate tax compliance matters.

Prepare and liaise with the auditors on tax provisions, tax disclosures, and tax-related financial reporting requirements.

Collate documentation and prepare responses to queries raised by the tax authority.

Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and assess potential implications for the Branch.

Support the renewal and ongoing administration of the Branch's Financial Sector Incentive (FSI) awards, including the preparation and submission of annual review returns.

Prepare tax reports as part of regular reporting to Head Office.

Tax Advisory Support

Provide tax advisory support to business units.

Assess Singapore and cross-border tax implications arising from new products, business initiatives, and operational changes.

APAC Tax Governance and Regional Oversight

Monitor international tax developments.

Support the implementation and enhancement of tax governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and internal controls across the Asia-Pacific region.

Provide support to regional offices on various tax matters as and when required.

OECD BEPS Pillar Two

Monitor regulatory developments and assist with the regional implementation of OECD BEPS Pillar Two requirements.

Support data collection, impact assessments, compliance processes, and reporting obligations relating to Pillar Two.

Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)

Support the Branch's governance, compliance, and reporting obligations under CRS and FATCA.

Projects and Other Responsibilities

Support tax technology, process improvement, and automation initiatives.

Perform other ad hoc assignments and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor in Accountancy

Professional tax qualification (e.g., SCTP, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA) will be advantageous.

2-5 years of relevant working experience in FI or banking

Strong technical knowledge of Singapore corporate taxation and international tax concepts and ability to interpret tax legislation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and jurisdictions.

Detail-oriented with a strong risk and control mindset.
