JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager, Contract Compliance supports the Contract Compliance function for the Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China) Continent. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Director, Contract Compliance this role assists in ensuring compliance with the financial provisions of management, franchise, lease, and other contractual arrangements for owned, leased, managed, and franchised properties.

The role works closely with hotels, Finance Operations, Legal, and other stakeholders to support contract compliance reviews, identify potential compliance risks, and facilitate timely resolution of issues. The Assistant Manager contributes to process improvements, reporting, governance activities, and compliance monitoring to promote consistency and accuracy across the Contract Compliance function..

CANDIDATE PROFILE

EDUCATION & EXPERINCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, contract compliance, audit or related governance functions.

Experience reviewing and interpreting contractual financial provisions is preferred.

Prior experience coordinating projects or providing task-level guidance to junior team members is an advantage.

Hospitality or hotel industry experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Solid understanding of accounting principles, contractual financial provisions, and compliance risk.

Demonstrates sound judgment and decision‑making in complex or ambiguous situations.

Highly analytical, with a disciplined focus on processes, controls, and risk management.

Effective influencing and senior stakeholder management skills.

Sound verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong systems orientation; knowledge of QuickBase and Power BI is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret contractual and financial information accurately.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Ability to identify potential compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support contract compliance governance across the APEC Continent, ensuring adherence to contractual financial obligations and internal governance standards.

Review, interpret, and monitor contractual financial provisions, performance obligations, and key contractual milestones across managed, franchised, leased, and owned properties.

Support and develop monitoring tools and early‑warning mechanisms to proactively identify compliance risks and potential financial exposure.

Identify and escalate complex compliance and contractual interpretation matters to management for resolution.

Support management by providing compliance and finance analysis for contract negotiations, renewals and amendments, and related commercial discussions.

Provide guidance and support to team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and process consistency within the Contract Compliance team.

Partner with Accounting, Finance Operations, Legal, Developments, and Operations teams to ensure consistent application of contractual provisions.

Prepare and maintain compliance reporting, dashboards, audits, and special initiatives.

Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance governance, efficiency, and compliance monitoring.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and best practices
