About the role
Job Description:
Join us as a Offer Business Development Manager (Rack systems) and become the trusted advisor customers turn to for complex solutions. You'll combine deep product expertise with consultative selling to drive revenue growth and help customers achieve their efficiency and sustainability objectives.
This position is responsible for growing and sustaining the Business in the specific offer portfolio- Rack Systems. The offer portfolio covers technologies such as IT rack enclosures & power distribution units (PDUs).
You are required to be a Domain expert in your specific offer and to work with other Domain experts in the wider business. Domain expertise includes understanding the offer landscape including market opportunities, routes to market, various business models, and the 4 Ps (Product/offer, Price, Place and Promotion) needed to defend and grow in the market.
The role will include, and not limited to:
product knowledge (basic to intermediate level)
market opportunity & competitive analysis,
business case development & planning
key product launches & managing product end-of-life
volume forecasting & pricing market feedback
supporting sales enablement & value proposition messaging
supporting customer messaging for product issues when necessary
What will you do?
Business Development across Lifecycle (40%)
Identifications of new market segments, partners or business opportunities
Identifying trends to develop, deploy and sustain programs for growth. This could be for specific end user group, specific products or any other area. The key focus is to bring new avenues of sustainable growth
Market research and analysis – Using available research as available and at the same time being able to conduct primary research directly with the Customers, Consultants and partners via “Voice of Customer” sessions
Developing and executing business plans for the allocated activity, market segment, products or partners
Understanding of customers needs by working with internal teams and gathering of information from external sources including directly working customers and partners
Driving the business plans with the regional and local segment, enterprise, channel sales and marketing teams
Diligently tracking results and progress of business plans
Providing advice to country/ channel teams on GTM strategies and business development
Close working with Product Marketing /Marketing (20%) Communication teams
Working with global, regional and local marketing teams to drive marketing plans
Designing the marketing mix with marketing team so as to achieve the marketing
objectives of the identified product portfolio
Understanding of the competitive landscape and develop regional and local strategies to
beat competition
Supports regional marketing activities to drive key campaigns and product messaging to
the identified market segment
Product & Program Management (20%)
Working with Line of Business and regional Offer Managers
Managing product life-cycle from the introduction of the products into the market, local positioning, competitiveness, and evolution to future generations
Manages the forecast and inventory level of products especially at the offer introduction
and offer phase out stages of the lifecycle
Participate in and provide inputs for product development to meet the country needs
Provides necessary training and guidance to channel team as well as partners
Manages and provides necessary sales tools to partners
Develop local programs to meet quarterly and annual business objectives
Working with product team, service team and marketing team to execute the programs
Management & Reporting (10%)
Working with Regional sales operations / Financial teams for timely submission of business development activities and progress report
Understanding offer business performance through pipeline analysis, sales in/sales out through channels, GM% targets
Sales & Marketing Support and Execution (10%)
Support regional sales and marketing events and activities
Speaking at events – industry, customers and channel facing
