About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Systems Operations Engineer for Technology Change Management Team. The Senior Systems Operations Engineer is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of technology change management, acting as the primary change approver & control executor for high & critical technology changes in the firm. This role ensures daily change approvals, timely stakeholder communication, effective CAB management, and prevention of change related escalations across all technology domains and lines of business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Service Management and remain align with emerging industry practices, advancements, and trends within IT industry, to implement technological solutions to enhance Technology Command Center & Production Management (TCCPM) productivity and competitiveness.

In this role, you will:

Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including gap identification/remediation around change controls & processes for the technology teams

Drive Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement to ensure transparency in communication around change processes & initiatives in all Systems Operations functional area

Strengthen enterprise outcomes by building trusted, proactive partnerships with technology, business, risk, and compliance stakeholders to ensure Technology Change Management requirements are well understood, effectively adopted, and consistently executed

Demonstrate consistent operational excellence in Technology Change Management by executing defined controls accurately and timely, reducing operational risk, and ensuring changes are managed in compliance with enterprise policy.

Consult with Service Now engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with LOB peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to understand concerns and provide support on issues to help them achieve their goals

Act as an escalation point for any queries around change control execution & processes.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Change Management, Production Support, or IT Service Management

Strong experience with change approvals & processes, change control execution, and ITIL frameworks

Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience in financial services or large regulated enterprises preferred

Proven experience leading & managing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting with senior management

Strong facilitation, decision‑making, and executive communication skills

Ability to operate effectively in a 24x7, high‑pressure environment

Understanding of Software development methodologies such as: Agile & Kanban

Understanding of ServiceNow ITSM product Line and its Offerings

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in driving Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings with senior management.

Experience working with Service Now or equivalent.

Experience working with Microsoft Teams or equivalent.

Experience in writing Executive Communications.

Experience of working in organizations with large scale IT footprint.

Experience in PowerBI, Excel and other equivalent tools.

Window, Linux Server OS, Network & routing topology, & IT Support fundamentals.

Physical and virtual server technology fundamentals.

Experience working with Cloud technologies.

Experience working in an Agile team environment.

Job Expectations:

Execute all assigned change management controls with high accuracy and completeness, ensuring evidence is sufficient, timely, and audit ready.

Proactively identify and escalate control gaps, process weaknesses, or emerging risks that could impact compliance.

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending process enhancements that reduce errors and rework.

Engage stakeholders early and consistently to influence change planning, risk decisions, and control outcomes.

Communicate change management requirements, policy intent, and expectations in a clear, practical, and actionable manner.

Serve as a strategic advisor to technology and business teams, balancing delivery speed with risk management and control integrity.

Actively listen to stakeholder feedback and incorporate insights into process improvements, policy clarifications, and guidance materials.

Promote shared accountability for change outcomes while maintaining independent governance and effective challenge.
