About the team

You will be reporting to the Head of Brand.

Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Media and Communications Officer to support our growing communications team. Based in Berlin or Munich, the successful candidate will play a key role in building the company’s reputation across Germany and internationally, with a particular focus on media relations, content development, and strategic messaging.

Responsibilities

You have several years of project management behind you: campaigns, events or complex programs in demanding environments.

You are organised, calm under deadline pressure and strict with budgets.

You have worked in or near regulated industries: defence, aerospace, automotive, government.

You are drawn to the new generation of defence technology: tech- & software-defined, AI-driven, fast, not to the way it has always been done.

You have delivered work where design quality was non-negotiable, and you carried that standard rather than fought it.

You work from written briefs and don't wait for meetings to act.

You will spend time outsdoors and at demos, wide range of activations- physical spaces to merchandise to personal touchpoints is also needed

Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in communications, journalism, or media relations, preferably within the defence or security sectors

Strong understanding of the media landscape in Germany and Europe, with a proven track record of securing coverage

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (native-level fluency in at least one)

Experience managing sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications

Confident working with senior executives and external stakeholders

Able to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging

Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
