Your Role

You lead and develop the SMO Project Management Office, position it as a central enabler for efficient project and resource management, and are responsible for the organization, performance, and continuous development of the PMO.

You are accountable for the further development of project management methods, processes, and governance, as well as for their implementation throughout the organization.

You lead and develop an interdisciplinary PMO team (group leaders, project engineers, project managers, tool and process owners), manage capacities and capability building, and ensure the targeted use of internal and external resources.

You drive the digitalization of the PMO and develop data- and AI-supported solutions in project management.

You enhance transparency and decision-making capability through standardized, decision-oriented reporting.

You manage cross-project short- and mid-term planning and the budget allocation processes for the SBU SMO development activities, and coordinate resource change management processes in close collaboration with R&D.

You work closely with senior management and with interface functions from Business, R&D, Operations, IT, Product Strategy, Quality, and Finance on topics of project planning and control, thereby strengthening cross-functional collaboration.

Your Profile

Excellent university degree in natural sciences or (industrial) engineering, ideally complemented by an additional qualification in business administration.

More than 5 years of professional and leadership experience.

Solid knowledge and several years of practical experience in project management and project management methodologies.

Experience in process standardization and in working within complex organizations.

Certification as Senior Project Manager GPM (IPMA Level B) or comparable project management competencies is desirable.

Confident use of project management tools and digital PMO solutions; ideally experience in data-driven or AI-supported environments.

Strong strategic thinking skills and a sound understanding of business contexts.

Excellent cooperation and self-reflection abilities, as well as very strong communication and facilitation skills in German and English.
