Job Description
Join ACCIONA and be part of a team delivering one of New Zealand's most significant transport infrastructure projects. The Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono project will enhance connectivity, improve safety and support regional growth, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
We are seeking a highly capable and strategic Planning Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and driving integrated planning across the project, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and operational delivery. You will partner with senior stakeholders to provide forward-looking insights, strengthen governance frameworks, and enhance planning practices that support ACCIONA’s continued growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the implementation of relevant programme systems to monitor project progress
Actively and constantly identifies risk and opportunity for the project in relation to area of control and the wider project
Develop staging plans and planning outputs ensuring a useful and usable schedule.
Ensuring that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the contract are satisfied
Developed and implement progress monitoring tools, reports, and dashboards
Understand and encompass internal and external interfaces ensuring they are incorporated into an overall program
Review and communicate staging plans and time scaled logic diagrams to ensure proper reference to the baseline
Manage the development and approval of all project programs and plans and other requirements in accordance with commercial requirements
Required Skills and Competencies
Relevant tertiary qualifications within Engineering or similar
10 years' planning and/or project management experience in a construction/engineering environment
Proficient experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project and P3/database programming
Well-developed communication and prioritizing skills and demonstrated relevant leadership skills
Ability to persuade, convince or impress others in order to gain their commitment and co-operation to a course of action
