THE ROLE
The HR Coordinator supports the delivery of Sotheby's people strategy in France by providing high-quality HR operational and administrative support across the full employee lifecycle. Working within a matrix HR model, the role partners closely with HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, Payroll, managers, and employees to deliver a positive employee experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute HR administration activities, including onboarding, employment contracts, employee changes, and offboarding.
Assist employees and managers on HR-related matters throughout the employee lifecycle.
Coordinate end-to-end monthly payroll activities with the external payroll provider (ADP), acting as the primary point of contact for payroll administration. Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, manage payroll inputs and outputs, coordinate employee lifecycle changes, resolve payroll-related queries, and serve as the key interface between the HR function and the payroll provider.
Administer employee benefits.
Administer time and attendance processes through Octime and ensure accurate HR data within SuccessFactors.
Support annual HR processes, including performance reviews, compensation reviews, promotions, talent reviews, and organizational changes.
Coordinate the recruitment and overall experience of interns in France, ensuring alignment with Sotheby's Global Internship Programme and delivering a consistent standard of excellence across locations.
Support local and international HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate the delivery of Sotheby's Employee Engagement Programme in France, partnering with international stakeholders to drive engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture initiatives across the business.
Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, internal policies, and HR governance standards.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or Payroll Coordination roles.
Previous experience working with an external payroll provider and supporting the full employee lifecycle.
Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.
Strong knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SuccessFactors and Octime is a plus.
Experience within an international environment would be an asset.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable handling confidential information.
Self-motivated, proactive, and service-oriented team player.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
