Demo Team, Technical Product Marketing

Overview:

Have you ever attended a Salesforce event or watched one of our keynotes on Salesforce+ and been wowed by the product demonstrations? That's our team, and we're hiring!

The Demo Team is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Salesforce experience and a focus on frontend development. You are passionate about technology and developing digital and physical experiences that inspire and engage.

In this role, your day-to-day will be fast-paced and driven by tight, event-based timelines - you'll build visually engaging, innovative demos using the latest Salesforce products and cutting-edge frontend technologies, and complement the digital experience with tactile elements. Beyond individual demos, you'll also have the opportunity to build reusable tooling that accelerates future demo development, and explore emerging technologies to keep us ahead of the curve for upcoming events. Like many roles tied to live events, there are peak periods close to major shows where the team rallies together to make sure everything is perfect - this is balanced with flexibility and time to recharge between events. This position requires strong technical depth alongside the interpersonal skills to collaborate across many departments. You'll work closely with product teams to prototype future Salesforce features and product launches, and experiment with technologies like AI, robotics, image processing, AR, and more.

Responsibilities:

Partner closely with product marketers, demo architects, and designers to distill product strategy and key functionality into engaging demo experiences

Develop compelling demonstrations and stories that showcase the power of Salesforce

Ideate and build prototypes for important Salesforce product launches

Own the architecture of software prototypes and physical experiences for all major Salesforce keynotes

Build reusable tools and frameworks that improve the speed and quality of future demo development

Explore and experiment with emerging technologies to prepare the team for upcoming events and keynotes

Keep current with technology trends and identify how they can be incorporated into our storytelling

Collaborate across teams and manage vendors as needed

Basic Qualifications:

4+ years of industry experience

Strong Salesforce Platform development experience (Admin, Apex, Experience Sites, Aura, LWC)

Expertise in frontend development (HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript)

Familiarity with tools such as Git, Heroku, and AWS

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight, event-driven deadlines

Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to lead through influence

Proven track record in design, development, and delivery of creative engineering concepts

Experience taking projects from concept to production

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Node.js)

Ability to turn high-fidelity designs into polished, functional prototypes

Experience developing for non-traditional formats such as large-format screens, AR/VR, or car dashboards

Experience with web-based and native mobile development

Backend development experience (servers, REST APIs, microservices)

Experience integrating and testing hardware with software APIs

Strong object-oriented programming background

Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator
