Senior HR Business Partner (Korean-speaking)
About the role
Position Summary
Reporting into the Regional Head of People Experience for Southeast Asia & Oceania, the Senior HR Business Partner will look after the regional commercial and corporate functions based in the Singapore office and serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, while maintaining close communication with senior management based in South Korea.
Role and Responsibilities
Business Partnering (RHQ)
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning to business leaders in the Regional Office
Serving as the main point of contact for employee life cycle activities such as goal setting, performance evaluation, career progression, onboarding & offboarding, and grievance management
Partnering with HR COEs and functions (Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services Centre) to improve various frameworks and initiatives, while ensuring compliance with labor laws
Leverage people analytics and AI to anticipate issues or opportunities and bring data-driven solutions
Conducting employee- and business leaders-facing briefings on major HR policy changes or initiatives
Handle employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
Culture, Engagement, Talent Management (Regional)
Lead employee engagement initiatives, including engagement survey analysis, action planning, and follow-through with local country teams
Champion DEI and employee experience initiatives to foster an inclusive and positive workplace environment.
Lead regional talent initiatives including succession planning, performance management, and organizational design across the region.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline
10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including 4-6 years in HR business partnering
Proven ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data literacy
Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is preferred
Experience in managing 1-2 direct reports is preferred
Knowledge of Singapore employment laws and labor market
Fluency in Korean language is required
