Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Operations

Lead the full lifecycle of a chemical cleaning project; including planning, mobilization, execution, and closeout

Execute projects across critical applications such as:

Refinery turnarounds and shutdowns (exchangers, desalters, tanks, pipelines)

Petrochemical and chemical plant maintenance (pickling, passivation, contamination removal)

Midstream pipeline and asset cleaning (chemical circulation, fouling removal)

Power Generation asset cleaning (turbines, lubrication oil systems, boilers)

Pulp and Paper turnarounds (boilers, evaporators, piping networks)

Develop detailed work plans, procedures, schedules, and resource plans

Coordinate field crews, equipment, subcontractors, and logistics to ensure efficient execution

Technical & Operational Expertise

Apply expertise in chemical cleaning processes, including:

Scale, corrosion, and fouling removal

Hydrocarbon decontamination and degassing

Pickling and passivation for asset protection

Cleaning of heat exchangers, reboilers, pipelines, contactors, and process equipment

Select appropriate chemical solutions, cleaning methods, and circulation processes

Troubleshoot field challenges and optimize cleaning performance

Health, Safety & Compliance

Champion a zero-incident safety culture and enforce strict adherence to H&S policies

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all federal/state regulations

Conduct hazard assessments (JHAs), safety audits, and incident investigations

Partner with H&S leadership to mitigate risks and ensure safe execution in high-hazard environments

Financial & Commercial Management

Prepare project estimates, budgets, and proposals, including scopes, schedules, and cost breakdowns

Track change orders & Billing

Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and revenue growth

Client & Business Development

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring strong relationship management

Provide technical consultation and tailored cleaning solutions to meet customer needs

Support business growth by identifying new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts

Deliver clear communication including project updates, reports, and documentation

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, supervise, and mentor field personnel, fostering a high-performance, safety-driven culture

Provide direction to meet operational, financial, and safety goals

Support workforce development and training

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate and complete records, including:

Work plans and procedures

Daily project reports and site logs

Safety and compliance documentation

Financial tracking and forecasting

Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with company standards

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of experience in chemical cleaning operations

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale industrial cleaning projects in oil & gas, refining, or chemical industries

Strong understanding of chemical cleaning processes and industrial equipment

Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, and financial oversight

Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments

Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field

Experience supporting:

Refinery turnarounds and shutdowns

Pipeline cleaning and commissioning

Petrochemical facility maintenance

Experience with ERP/project tracking systems

Success Profile
