Application Engineer

Job Description: As an Application Engineer, you will be a key member of our SGU_DE & AI Solutions_Digital Engineering - Common>IMU_Insurance_Insurance L&A department. Your primary focus will be on developing and optimizing web applications, ensuring high-performance and secure coding practices. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers, working in an Agile environment to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities: Develop web applications using Angular, implementing modern front-end development practices.

Utilize Azure Functions for REST APIs and scheduled/batch execution, ensuring efficient and reliable application performance.

Diagnose and resolve application issues, providing timely solutions for both front-end and back-end components.

Optimize APIs, background jobs, and data-driven applications for maximum performance.

Implement secure coding practices and authentication/authorization concepts to ensure data integrity and user privacy.

Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to continuously improve our development processes.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, adopting new practices to enhance our applications.

Document and maintain clear and concise code, ensuring code quality and maintainability.

Provide support and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in web application development, with a strong focus on Angular.

Working knowledge of Azure Functions, including API development and deployment.

Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Understanding of back-end development concepts and database management.

Experience with performance optimization techniques for web applications.

Familiarity with secure coding practices and industry standards.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work in an Agile environment.
