Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of legal documents and case files for criminal inquires.

Conduct legal research and gather evidence to assist solicitors in building cases.

Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Engage with clients to collect information and provide them with updates regarding their cases.

Attend court hearings and inquiries, taking notes and providing support as needed.

Stay informed about changes and developments in criminal law and relevant legal practices.

Requirements

Law degree or equivalent legal qualifications.

Police Station Accreditation is preferable or willingness to undertake it

Interest in human rights and working in legal aid is essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role is preferred.

Strong comprehension of criminal law.

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple cases effectively.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Passion for social justice and client advocacy.
