We are currently recruiting for betwwen 4 and 6 Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Programmer to support one of our customers on an upcoming work package. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self-motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.
This role will involve the Manufacturing Engineer to be based working remotely with an occasional need to go onto the Client's site and will report directly to the Programme Delivery Leader (PDL).
Working within the ME team in our Aero Business Unit, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in high-tech and future-oriented industries taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, thus expanding your existing know-how.
Responsibilities:
Compilation and update of CNC Programmes for multi-sized components
Creation of prove-out sheets and support Tape Try-outs of new programs
Understanding and interpretation of customer specifications and engineering drawings
Update and optimisation of CNC Programs to reduce run times
Assist within all aspects of engineering the production process, material flow and machine utilisation.
Integrate work holding methods aspart of the process
Liaise and support the operations team
Creation of set up sheets
Knowledge of tool cutter technology and utilisation
Produce Engineering outputs to meet on-target delivery dates and Quality requirements
Design, Commissioning and proving of associated tooling
Resolution of technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process
Ensure ‘Right First Time’ is met in-line with Business KPI’s
Be involved with continuous improvement process & offer improvement suggestions
Interface with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specifications
The role will be to develop & manage current production processes to improve Quality, Cost & Time measures whilst supporting planning and the introduction of new products and processes
Attend reviews (both internal and external) where required
Working in accordance with Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements
Qualifications:
Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience
Essential skills:
Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality who can work and act autonomously
Ability to liaise at all levels of the business management structure
Excellent communication skills and decision maker
Have good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of making sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions
Assertiveness, independent, structured way of working and the ability to find oneself in a multicultural working environment
Experience:
Proven experience of 3 & 5-Axis CNC Programming of Aluminium work pieces
Expert-level knowledge of CATIA V5 CNC Programming Modules
Experience of CGTech Vericut V9.1 (Desirable)
Experience of Manufacturing Processes and standards
Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
Aerospace experience preferable but other industries considered
Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality
Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions within cost, time and quality constraints
