Job Description and Responsibilities
This is a part-time, on-site role as an Occupational Therapist (OT) serving a school located in Westminister, CO.
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details
Part-time school-based opportunity with a 32-hour weekly schedule
2026–2027 school year (August through May)
Four-day work week supporting students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
Provide individualized therapy services, complete evaluations, offer consultation, and manage assigned student caseload responsibilities
Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress and educational goals
Guaranteed paid hours that include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
Fully on-site, in-person school-based assignment
Maintain a manageable caseload while delivering high-quality student services
Receive ongoing collaboration and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds team
Competitive compensation of $60–$80+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $1,920–$2,560+
Qualifications
BS, Master's, OTD, or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university
State License as Occupational Therapist
NBCOT License
Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
Experience working with children
Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction
Organizational and time management skills
Proficient in use of technology
Fingerprint background clearance
Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
