We partner with our local schools to provide Speech Language Pathology (SLP) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Lakewood, CO.
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details
Full-time school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour weekly schedule
Temporary maternity coverage assignment for the 2026–2027 school year
High School coverage: August 5, 2026 – October 30, 2026
Elementary coverage: August 11, 2026 – September 4, 2026
Provide speech-language services across multiple grade levels, including high school and elementary students
Responsibilities include direct therapy, student evaluations, consultation with educational teams, and management of assigned caseload responsibilities
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student progress and educational goals
Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
Fully on-site, in-person position within a supportive school environment
Maintain manageable caseloads while delivering high-quality student services
Receive ongoing collaboration and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds team
Competitive compensation of $65–$80+ per hour, with estimated weekly earnings of $2,437–$3,000+
Requirements
Qualifications
Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
National License: ASHA
Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
CF-SLP placement may be available
Experience working with children
Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
Organizational and time management skills
Proficient in use of technology
Fingerprint background clearance
Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
