This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Sugar Land, Texas.
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details
Full-time school-based opportunity with a 37.5-hour work week
2026–2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027)
Serving elementary students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
Provide individualized speech-language therapy, complete comprehensive evaluations, consult with teachers and families, and manage an assigned caseload
Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) while supporting service delivery and ensuring quality of care
Participate in IEP meetings, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and interdisciplinary team collaboration
Guaranteed paid hours covering direct services, documentation, report writing, planning, meetings, and other professional responsibilities
Fully on-site position in a collaborative and supportive school environment
Receive ongoing guidance and partnership from both the school district and the TheraPeds team
Well-balanced caseloads designed to support high-quality student outcomes
Earn $60–$75 per hour, with estimated weekly compensation of approximately $2,437–$2,812
Requirements
Qualifications
Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
National License: ASHA
Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
CF-SLP placement may be available
Experience working with children
Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
Organizational and time management skills
Proficient in use of technology
Fingerprint background clearance
Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
