Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, Utah, is a residential treatment facility (behavioral health care) serving male and female 12-17 year olds who have been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. Copper Hills Youth Center promotes healing and strengthens relationships by providing extraordinary care in a trauma informed environment. Type: Full-time salaried exempt position - with 75%+ weekly travel required out of state.

Your Key Position Goals & Objectives:
Oversee the provision of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Business Development Department.
Responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through the effective application of marketing and sales principles and methods.
Responsible for the facility’s strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, management of all sales and business development activities and maintaining an active and productive working relationship with internal departments and communicates issues or potential problems proactively, especially with CEO and Director of Admissions/Intake.
Leads and oversees the development and growth of profitable new business opportunities. Develops and implements marketing strategies to assist the facility in meeting business objectives.
Makes contacts with referral sources and establishes appropriate professional relationships with potential and current referral sources. The Director of Business Development is expected to maintain a personal “book of business” and make a minimum of 25 face-to-face field-based contacts weekly, exclusive of field coaching ride-a-longs.
Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of each of the facility’s programs and services, including Inpatient, Residential and Outpatient programs, the assessment process and transportation services.
Maintains knowledge of the status of UHS-facilities within the including programs, bed availability, SWOT, and go-to-market strategy.
Proactively identifies trends and changes in the marketplace and demand for specific niche programs and incorporates these findings into product development and marketing strategies.
In concert with facility’s CEO and CFO, proactively identify opportunities for enhanced pricing of services and develops, negotiates, and executes payer contracts.
Supervises 2 Business Development Liaisons
Qualifications:
Your skills and experience will include:
Education: B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field REQUIRED, MS Marketing/Business Administration PREFERRED
Experience:
5 years prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, sales management preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of operating independently, effectively and self-motivated
Able to analyze, plan and follow-through for maximum effectiveness
Experience in developing new territories in target markets
Ability to close sales and achieve assigned objectives
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse terminology
Experience in customer service in the health care field preferred
Working courteously and respectfully with all stakeholders, internal and external
License: Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
