Key Responsibilities

Coordinate end-to-end transport activities with customers, transport providers, ports, terminals, rail operators, depots and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

Manage customer enquiries proactively, providing clear communication and regular updates, particularly when operational exceptions or delays occur.

Take ownership of operational issues from identification through to resolution, ensuring positive customer outcomes.

Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and audit controls.

Monitor operational performance against KPIs and identify opportunities to improve service, productivity and cost efficiency.

Execute daily transport operations while effectively managing capacity, service levels and customer priorities.

Work independently, exercising sound judgement and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and the customer experience.

Support process optimisation and new business implementations where required.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Complete ad hoc operational and project-related tasks as directed by the Manager.

Position Specifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in transport, logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding operations, preferably within containerised import/export or landside transport.

Understanding of Australian container transport operations, including ports, terminals, empty container parks, rail and road transport networks.

Experience coordinating with transport providers, customers, shipping lines and internal stakeholders.

Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

High attention to detail with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Customer-focused with a proactive approach and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Experience using CargoWise One (CW1), the Integrated Cargo System (ICS) and 1-Stop is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Australian transport legislation, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and container logistics will be highly regarded.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook (PowerPoint desirable).
