The Social Media Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate & Group Social Media and will be accountable for:
Collaborating with several stakeholders across the bank to develop results-driven organic and paid social media strategies based on clear business and measurement objectives.
Managing end-to-end paid social media campaigns.
Collaborating with internal and external agency partners on integrated marketing campaigns.
Providing subject-matter expertise on the development of engaging and compliant social-first creative, with a thorough understanding of content best practices.
Regularly reviewing the latest updates and trends across the social landscape and identifying opportunities to apply relevant insights to BMO’s social media strategy.
Publishing content to BMO’s social media pages using our social media management tool.
Maintaining BMO’s brand standards and brand voice across all social media channels.
Developing education and training materials for social media programs and partners.
Managing logistics for live social media events, creating content in real-time, and helping ensure event day activities run smoothly.
Measuring the performance of social media content and user engagement and providing ongoing recommendations for optimization.
Contributing to regular scorecards and reporting for social media initiatives and participating in discussions on results.
Participating in the social media team’s emergency/on-call support rotation schedule.
Ensuring that reports and other important records are stored and organized within the appropriate knowledge and information repositories, including OneDrive and SharePoint sites.
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
University degree and 4-5 years working experience in marketing or related field
Bilingual French/English
Previous experience in financial services is a strong asset.
Knowledge of online marketing and strong understanding of social media channels
Experience working with social media management tools for publishing and reporting (Sprinklr)
Experience working with social advertising platforms such as META Business Manager and LinkedIn Business Manager
Strong stakeholder management skills
Proactive and solutions-focused mindset and approach
Excellent consulting, writing, editing and communication skills
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Experience with AI tools, especially Microsoft Copilot, is considered an asset.
Salary :
$56,000.00 - $103,500.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
