Job Description
Responsibilities:
Review of documentation for all entity types as per policy / jurisdiction for all KYC / CDD / EDD documentation and raising request for information/document required as per the procedure.
Strong knowledge of payment industry regulations and standards, including PSD2, EU Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Directives, EBA AML/CFT Guidelines, and applicable Visa and Mastercard requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry expectations
Expertise in assessing merchant-related risks, including transaction laundering, Merchant Category Code (MCC) misrepresentation, card scheme compliance, and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening, to support effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
Conduct due diligence and highlight procedural requirements if there is any defect.
Review ownership (BO) and key controller according to policy and screen for sanctions and adverse media.
Write clear and concise narratives for transaction analysis and make final recommendations.
Analyze and summarize the customer's final risk assessment while completing the review in a timely and efficient manner.
Primary contact for expertise on policy and procedures
Make recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex KYC/AML investigations, providing guidance to analysts and supporting quality assurance reviews
Maintain awareness of regulatory updates and incorporate process and procedural changes in the due diligence review process.
Interpret evidence from multiple tools and systems to resolve legitimacy of customer behavior across multiple products.
Lead investigations of high-risk merchants and complex ownership structures, identifying and escalating AML, sanctions, adverse media, and reputational risk
Train and Mentor junior analyst
