Full-Time Bilingual Receptionist / Legal Assistant
We are a plaintiffs-oriented personal injury law firm situated on picturesque Staats Lake in Keizer, Oregon with an opportunity for the right person to join our amazing team! Our current team is comprised of 10 people including 2 full-time attorneys, legal assistants and paralegals. For the right person/situation, this job could be either part-time or full-time.
Duties will include:
Primary duties will be answering a multi-line phone system; Spanish/English interpreting; screening potential new intakes; scheduling appointments; scanning/filing mail; ordering medical records and police reports; and possibly opening/closing files. As time allows and depending on experience, Legal Assistant duties may include (or grow into) managing or assisting one of our Paralegals with a caseload of files. This could involve regular communication with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, employers, health insurers (including OHP, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Tribal entities, and other state/federal programs), and law enforcement agencies. Duties could also include organizing medical records and bills, and drafting documents including demand letters.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English). Must speak fluent Spanish and English, and be comfortable translating by phone and in-person. Our attorneys rely on our interpreters to help effectively and accurately communicate with our clients so they understand what’s happening with their cases at all times.
- At least 1 year full-time experience in a professional office (legal or medical) is strongly preferred. For the right person, we will train. It's more important to us that you are a cheerful and compassionate person with great communication skills, who will love being the main voice and face of our firm, and that you're trustworthy, eager, smart and willing to learn.
- Preferred applicants should be proficient in Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Time Matters or other similar practice management systems is a plus.

Compensation:
Salary is DOE. Benefits (which vary depending on part/full time) include paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick time, company 401k, Medical/dental/vision, and HSA.
