Project Leader (High-Voltage Substations) W/M/X
About the role
As Project Leader within the Infrastructure Projects Department, you will be responsible for steering electrical infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70 and 36 kV) related to high-voltage substations. You will be involved from the very first definition phase up to the administrative closing of the project, ensuring technical quality, planning, budget and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end project involvement
Participate in project definition, feasibility studies and design.
Ensure proper execution and administrative closure of projects.
Technical studies & engineering
Conduct and supervise technical studies for high-voltage substations and related infrastructure.
Perform technical calculations and contribute to design optimization.
Budgeting, planning & resource management
Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules.
Align planning with required and available resources and customer requirements.
Tendering & procurement
Prepare tender documents and technical specifications.
Participate in the procurement process and support supplier selection.
Site leadership & coordination
Lead and coordinate on-site execution in collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and customers.
Monitor progress, quality, safety and compliance on the construction site.
Communication & reporting
Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Report on project progress, risks and mitigation actions.
Profile Requirements
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering is mandatory (or equivalent through experience with a strong technical background).
3–7 years of experience in project management and/or site supervision, ideally in technical or industrial environments.
Experience in the energy sector (transmission, distribution, power generation, substations, etc.) is a strong plus.
Languages: Excellent command of Dutch & English or Dutch, French & English.
Ability to communicate fluently with diverse stakeholders in these languages.
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Strong communication skills, assertive yet constructive, and customer-oriented.
Interest in the energy sector and in high-voltage infrastructure projects.
