Position Title: Purchase & Store Executive Department: Purchase / Store Industry: Industrial Construction Reporting To: Project Director

Role Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of materials, equipment, subcontracted services, and consumables required for construction projects. The role ensures timely availability of quality materials at the best possible cost while maintaining compliance with company policies, project schedules, and budget targets.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement and purchasing for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.

Source vendors, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors for materials and services.

Obtain quotations, compare rates, and negotiate pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.

Prepare and issue purchase orders, work orders, and supply agreements.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, store teams, and accounts to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.

Ensure timely procurement of construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, RMC, shuttering material, tiles, plumbing, electrical, and finishing items.

Monitor inventory levels and plan replenishment to avoid project delays.

Resolve supply quality concerns.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, vendor contracts, GRNs, and invoices.

Support cost control by identifying savings opportunities and alternative sourcing options.

Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Good knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and market rates.

Ability to read material requirement plans and coordinate with project teams.

Excellent communication, planning, and decision-making skills.

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, PO systems, and documentation.

Analytical skills for comparing quotations and controlling costs.

Proficiency in MS Excel

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in construction purchasing or procurement preferred.

Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and construction sites.

Knowledge of local market vendors and construction material sourcing.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
