Job Summary
The MICE Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) business opportunities. The role focuses on acquiring new corporate clients, building long-term relationships, generating event sales, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the MICE segment.
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, corporate visits, industry associations, and digital platforms.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel management companies, event planners, destination management companies (DMCs), exhibition organizers, and government agencies.
Develop strategies to increase market share and maximize revenue.
Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual MICE sales targets.
Prepare customized proposals, quotations, presentations, and contracts for prospective clients.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements while maintaining profitability.
Cross-sell accommodation, banquet facilities, catering, exhibitions, weddings, and additional hospitality services.
Monitor sales pipelines and conversion rates to ensure consistent business growth.
Client Relationship Management
Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.
Maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts and event organizers.
Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle and post-event follow-up.
Develop long-term partnerships to generate repeat business.
Event Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with operations, banquet, food & beverage, front office, housekeeping, and technical teams to ensure successful event execution.
Participate in pre-event planning meetings and monitor client requirements.
Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally.
Market Intelligence
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Identify emerging industries and new revenue opportunities.
Recommend pricing strategies and promotional campaigns based on market insights.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts, and client interactions in the CRM system.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, revenue forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in MICE sales, corporate sales, hospitality sales, event management, or business development.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in hotels, convention centers, banquet venues, event management companies, or exhibition organizations is preferred.

Working Conditions
Office-based with frequent travel for client meetings, networking events, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for client events and business meetings.
