Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, developing customer relationships, and driving sales growth for Water Treatment, Sewage Treatment, Effluent Treatment, Reverse Osmosis, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects. The role requires extensive field travel, client meetings, and coordination with internal teams to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new business opportunities through field visits, networking, referrals, and market research.
Meet industrial clients, builders, consultants, contractors, architects, and government organizations.
Promote the company's WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, and O&M solutions.
Identify customer requirements and coordinate with the Design & Proposal team for techno-commercial proposals.
Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales orders.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
Coordinate with Projects, Design, Purchase, and Accounts teams for smooth project execution.
Maintain CRM records and submit daily visit reports, lead updates, and monthly sales reports.
Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
3–8 years of experience in Industrial Sales or Business Development, preferably in Water & Wastewater Treatment.
Fresh knowledge of WTP/STP/ETP/RO projects will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong client relationship management and business networking abilities.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
