About the role
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead and manage construction projects from pre-construction to final completion.
Develop project execution plans, milestones and construction strategies.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Provide regular project status updates to management.

2. Quality Assurance & Luxury Finishing Control
Establish project quality plans and inspection procedures.
Conduct pre-construction reviews and constructability assessments.
Review shop drawings, material submissions and mock-ups before commencement.
Implement hold-point inspections for critical works.
Ensure compliance with HongZe Luxury Standard and project specifications.
Identify and prevent defects before execution.
Lead pre-handover inspections and defect management.
Particular attention shall be given to:
Architectural detailing
Stone and tile installation
Timber works
Metal works
Waterproofing
Painting and finishing works
Joinery and carpentry
M&E visible finishes
Landscape and external works

3. Risk Identification & Management
Proactively identify design, construction and coordination risks.
Maintain project risk registers.
Develop mitigation plans before issues impact project delivery.
Review design documents and identify potential buildability concerns.
Escalate critical project risks promptly to management.

4. Client & Consultant Management
Act as primary project representative to clients.
Attend client, consultant and authority meetings.
Manage client expectations and communications.
Resolve project disputes professionally and constructively.
Maintain strong working relationships with:
Architects
Interior Designers
Engineers
Quantity Surveyors
Homeowners
Government Authorities
Ensure high client satisfaction throughout project delivery.

5. Construction & Site Management
Supervise site execution activities.
Monitor workmanship standards and site productivity.
Coordinate structural, architectural, M&E, landscape and interior works.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Review method statements and construction sequences.
Manage subcontractor performance.
Conduct regular site inspections.

6. Commercial & Contract Administration
Monitor project budgets and cost performance.
Identify cost overruns and propose corrective actions.
Review subcontractor quotations and recommendations.
Evaluate and negotiate variation orders.
Track project profitability.
Support procurement and contract awards.
Protect company commercial interests.
Must be familiar with:

Delay analysis

7. Procurement & Resource Planning
Develop procurement schedules.
Identify long-lead items and critical materials.
Review material specifications.
Coordinate procurement activities with project requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

8. Authority Submission & Regulatory Compliance
Manage and coordinate:
Shop Drawing submissions
Material submissions
Method statement submissions
Testing and commissioning documentation
Inspection requests
Facilitate:
TOP application
CSC application
Final authority clearance
Handover documentation

9. Team Leadership & Development
Lead project engineers, supervisors and site teams.
Mentor junior engineers and project staff.
Establish accountability and performance standards.
Conduct regular project reviews and coaching sessions.
Foster a culture of quality, ownership and continuous improvement.

10. Digital Project Management
Utilize project management systems and digital tools to improve project performance, including:
Lark / Feishu
BIM platforms
Project scheduling software
Digital QA/QC systems
Progress reporting dashboards
Cost tracking systems
Support company digital transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
⸻
Experience
Minimum 5 years of Singapore construction experience.
Minimum 3 completed landed residential projects from foundation to TOP/CSC.
Experience managing projects valued above SGD 3 million.
Proven track record delivering luxury residential or high-end residential projects.

Compensation
This Software Engineer role pays $60k-$108k/yr. Within typical range for software engineer roles in Singapore.
