About the role
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, equipment, spare parts, fuel station supplies, and services required for the efficient operation of the company's gasoline stations and business units. The position ensures timely procurement, cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with company procurement policies and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requests (PRs) and prepare Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery performance, and reliability.
- Obtain and compare quotations to secure the best value for the company.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Warehouse, Accounting, and other departments regarding procurement requirements.
- Monitor the status of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of critical spare parts, maintenance materials, and operational supplies.
- Resolve supplier delivery issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
- Develop and maintain a database of accredited suppliers and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, approval limits, and documentation requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing performance summaries.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain complete procurement records and ensure proper filing of purchasing documents.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to company policies and ethical procurement practices.
