About the role
Qualifications:
Graduate of any 4 years course
With 2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles
With good communication and negotiation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Supplier Management:
Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and reliability.
Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and manage any issues that arise to ensure consistency in quality and delivery.
Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
Procurement Planning:
Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations) to understand their procurement needs.
Develop and manage procurement plans to ensure timely and efficient purchasing processes.
Track and forecast inventory levels, order quantities, and delivery schedules.
Purchase Order Management:
Generate and process purchase orders (POs) in line with business requirements.
Ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner and according to budget constraints.
Track and monitor the status of orders to ensure on-time delivery.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
Assist in preparing and managing the procurement budget.
Monitor spending to ensure adherence to the allocated budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Review and approve invoices and payment requests from suppliers.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in procurement activities.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and suppliers.
Prepare regular procurement reports and performance metrics for management.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased goods meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Investigate and resolve any issues related to the quality of procured products.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and pricing in relevant industries.
Evaluate potential suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the procurement process and take appropriate steps to mitigate them.
Ensure supply chain continuity by having backup suppliers or contingency plans in place.
